Today, I had the honor of reading my poem, “In the Garden of Audre’s Legacy,” from the book Remembering Audre Lorde, released in celebration of Audre’s birthday. Audre Lorde was a profound poet, feminist, and civil rights activist who used her voice to fight against injustice and to advocate for self-acceptance and empowerment. Her work continues to inspire and resonate with readers around the world.

Audre’s legacy is one of courage, truth, and the transformative power of words. I’m grateful to be part of this anthology that pays tribute to her incredible life and contributions to literature and social change.
