This Spring, as I reflect on the journey of the “Child’s Guide” series, my heart is filled with gratitude and remembrance. Twenty-three years ago, my dear editor Susan Heyboer O’Keefe reached out to me with the idea of illustrating a series that would gently guide children through spiritual teachings in a Catholic context.
Today, I am proud to announce that the series has surpassed 110,000 copies sold and is available in both English and Chinese.
Susan, who is no longer with us, would be proud of this milestone. Her vision and dedication have been the guiding light for these books, which have become a beacon of learning and understanding for children around the world. Through the series, we have reached young minds across diverse cultures, contributing to their spiritual growth and education.
The journey of the “Child’s Guide” series continues, and I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead.
