New Release: The Art of Inclusion: The Story of Larry Robin and Moonstone Press
I’m honored to announce that my poem, The Heart of Moonstone, is featured in the new book The Art of Inclusion: The Story of Larry Robin and Moonstone Press. This book celebrates the legacy of Moonstone Press and its founder, Larry Robin, who has fostered an inclusive space for poetry and the arts where all voices can be heard.
The back cover shares the vision behind Moonstone Press:
“Moonstone comes out of progressive education theory. Eisner says the arts teach us there are multiple solutions to any question. Teaching to the test says there’s one answer and that’s not true. Libraries all over the country are under attack. For democracy to work, there needs to be independent thinking, and that ties directly to poetry.”
My poem, The Heart of Moonstone, is a heartfelt thank you to Larry Robin for his unwavering dedication to poetry, freedom of expression, and belief in diverse voices’ power. Moonstone has been a beacon for independent thinking and creative expression, and I’m deeply grateful to be part of its legacy.
This book is a tribute to one man and to the spirit of inclusion and creativity that Moonstone Press has championed for decades.
