This Summer, my poem Do-Little Field will be featured in the anthology South Carolina Bard, 2024. The anthology promises to be a rich collection of poems that celebrate the essence and spirit of South Carolina. I am thrilled to share a piece of our personal South Carolina history.
About “Do-Little Field”
Do-Little Field is a tribute to a special place that holds a significant part of my husband’s legacy. About 40 years ago, my husband, along with a group of his pilot friends, created this private airport. It’s not just an airstrip; it’s a community filled with camaraderie, passion for aviation, and cherished memories.
This poem captures the essence of the Do-Little Field, a place where pilots and aviation enthusiasts often gather flyins and the Sunday Breakfast Club.
