I’m delighted to announce the publication of my latest poem, “Promises to Keep,” which appears in the World Environment Day Anthology by Moonstone Press. This anthology unites voices from around the world, all dedicated to the theme of healing and renewing our precious earth.
My poem explores the silent deserts and the seeds of hope lying dormant, waiting for our collective efforts to bring them to life. It is a heartfelt call to action, emphasizing the need for healing and change.
The release of this book is particularly meaningful as it coincided with my six-week journey centered around water. After crossing the Atlantic by ship from New York to the UK, we rented a canal boat and sailed on the Kennet and Avon Canal.
Following that, we attended a groundwater conference at the Oceanography Research Center in Southampton, followed by a week spent time in Folkestone on the English Channel. We then crossed the Atlantic once more to return to New York.
These experiences have deeply shaped my reflections on our planet and the urgent need to preserve it.
As one of the many contributors to this anthology, I am honored to work under the guidance of our esteemed editor, Larry Robin.
We invite you to join us for a special reading next Sunday, June 9th, at 2 PM EST. I will be reading from Southampton, UK.
