The Cat Anthology is a beautiful collection of stories from around the world, all told from the cat’s perspective. Curated with love by Illographo Press in Australia, and under the expert guidance of Aphrodite Delaguiado, this anthology highlights the deep and varied impact our feline friends have on us. Each story, including mine, offers a glimpse into the profound connections we share with our cats.
Why I Wrote “Hala, the Studio Cat”
Many of you have met Hala, named after the historic Hala B. Darling Home in Upstate New York. When I moved in, the 3rd floor became my studio, and Hala came as a present to keep me company during my long hours working freelance.
When Hala turned 15, she stopped eating, and we feared the worst. It was during this tough time that “Hala, the Studio Cat” was born. A story from her perspective that reflects our life together. Thankfully, Hala bounced back and is now thriving at 17, continuing to inspire everyone she meets.
