Thrilled to Join the “Walt Whitman 205th Birthday” Anthology
I am excited to announce that my poem, “To Walt, in the Language of Leaves,” is featured in the anthology Walt Whitman 205th Birthday, published by Local Gem Press.
This collection, brought to life by the wonderful Maddie McGivney and James P. Wagner (Ishwa), celebrates the enduring legacy of Walt Whitman and the countless poets he has inspired over the years.
About “To Walt, in the Language of Leaves”
My poem is a tribute to Walt Whitman, celebrating his profound influence on poetry and the natural world. As someone who finds immense joy in nature and the written word, crafting this poem was a deeply personal experience. Like many artists and poets from the past, Whitman may not have known the full extent of his influence on future generations. I am honored to be part of this homage.
