Book Review

Josh's Smiley Faces:
My three year old son enjoys this book. He says, "I do that sometimes, too." Bonus if your child has a younger sibling he or she doesn't share with, just like the characters in the book.

Josh's Smiley Faces:
My 5 year old loves this book & we started a similar chart system to help with his emotional outburst. It helps his to see that it's ok to feel angry, but not ok to hit & hurt others feelings.

Tell Me Papa:
This is a very unique book that explains the answers to questions children may have about death and dying.

Josh's Smiley Faces: A realistic portrayal of child's anger (at least in my experience)...but, unfortunately, the happy ending didn't work for us. Advocates a reward chart system to redirect anger emotions.
Parent
Josh's Smiley Faces: Really liked the story and concepts, as well as the ideas and helpful ideas at the back of the book for starting positive reinforcements with your own children.

Seattle Laughs: This is, without doubt, the finest slice of local talent ever presented in this format. The range of subjects is astounding (I had no idea there was so much humor at this latitude). Nowhere else in cartoondom will you find the variety of texture and style in the artwork. The text, while not Shakespearian, is rich and tastey. All of this is cunningly toasted and garnished by the uncompromising and incomparable editing of Ms Flenniken. A true Northwestern masterpiece to which it was my great joy and privilege to make a tiny contribution. Amazon Reader

Tinkle Tinkle Little Tot:
In an attempt to get our youngest used to the idea of potty training, I checked out a bunch of books on toilet training from the library. Many of them were very informative. However, my favorite buy far was the book "Tinkle, Tinkle, Little Tot" It uses a bunch of songs and rhymes to teach toilet training.

Tinkle Tinkle Little Tot:
My 5 year old loves this book & we started a similar chart system to help with his emotional outburst. It helps his to see that it's ok to feel angry, but not ok to hit & hurt others feelings. This is a great book! We found it at the library and after multiple check-outs we just had to buy it. Autumn sings the songs in this book even when she is not using the potty. The songs praise using the potty as well as learning to wash our hands and encouraging staying dry at night. For anyone trying to potty train I would highly recommend this book and I cannot wait to introduce to our next little tot in the future!

Tinkle Tinkle Little Tot Now THIS is what I'm talking about! What a fun way to potty train - with music! Yeah, maybe I'm biased . . . . . . can you tell what we're getting ready to start after Hannah's 2nd birthday?
